National hotel group, PT Grahawita Santika, realize the opening of nine new two-star hotel with a label Amaris Hotel from 11 hotel development plans that class will be conducted throughout 2010.

Santika Group Marketing Director Donny Tisnantoro said  newest hotels to be opened Amaris Amaris Cihampelas in Bandung is scheduled for soft opening at 3 September.

“This is the ninth. The plan this year we will build 11 Amaris,” he said this evening to the Business on the sidelines of breaking fast together at the Hotel Santika Premier Jakarta with orphans around the hotel.

Eight other Amaris hotels that have opened Amaris Diponegoro was in Yogyakarta, Bandung Cimanuk Amaris, Amaris Panakukang Makassar, Amaris Banjar in South Kalimantan, Ambon, Maluku Amaris, Amaris Cengkareng Soekarno Hatta Airport in Jakarta, Amaris Palangkaraya, and Amaris Panglima Polim Jakarta.

“Amaris hotel is a practical concept. We only need seven months to build up gradually. There is no restriction on number of rooms, so the number of rooms built in each hotel is different.”

Donny said overall the group was targeting the construction of 60 hotels two star hotel that will be done in stages over the next few years.

In addition to focus on developing two star hotel, Donny add Santika Group also focused on adding a labeled three-star hotels Hotel Santika. In the next year, at least 11 new hotels, among them 6 and 9 Hotel Santika Hotel Amaris will be built in several areas of tourism and business destination in Indonesia.

On the same occasion, General Manager Jakarta Santika Premier L. Sudarsono said it was renovating a number of facilities in the hotel which is targeted to be completed in October next. Facilities include a lobby, renovated guestrooms, lobby lounge, and restaurant.

“Later in October we will do our hotel relaunching with a new concept after the construction of several facilities were completed,” he said.
