Nusa Tenggara Timur General Information
Nusa Tenggara Timur or East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Province of Indonesia is located in the southeast of this capital of Kupang. Area covering about 550 islands. However, the three main islands in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) are Flores, Sumba and West Timor.
Most of the NTT is pasture with adequate rainfall low. This area is a very suitable place to develop livestock and dry land plantations. Dairy farms and coffee plantations are two commodities that are successfully generated from the region.

History of Nusa Tenggara Timur
After the year 1900, the status of kingdoms in East Nusa Tenggara have been transformed into the Autonomous. This Swapraja-autonomous sub-divided into small areas called kafetoran-kafetoran.
After the Japanese took over Indonesia from Dutch hands, the eastern part of NTT is under the control of the Japanese navy (Kaigun) based in Makassar.

Nusa Tenggara Timur Culture
There are several traditions of local communities which until now have been made. One of them is Nyale. This event is a marine worm hunting ceremony to welcome the Festival. NTT population consists of various tribes. On the island of Flores, for example, a number of tribes who inhabit this island is the tribe of Manggarai, Interest Ngada, Interest Nage Keo and Keo tribe.
Tribal East Sumba, Anakalang, Loli, Wajijewa, and Kodi inhabit the island of Sumbawa. Meanwhile, Timor island inhabited by several tribes, such as the Tribe Dhawan, Helong Interest, Interest Sabu, and Atoin Meto, which is the largest tribe in the province.

Language Tewo Kedebang, Blagar, Lamuan Abui, Adeng, Katola, Taangla, Pui, and widely used in Kolana Alor Island and surrounding areas. Bahasa Melayu, Laratuka, Lamalohot, extension, Krawe, and Palue widely used in the island of Flores and the surrounding areas. Meanwhile, Sumbawa and the surrounding uses language Kambera, Wewewa, Anakalang, Lamboya, Mamboro, pop, and Kodi.
