North Maluku, Indonesia General Information
North Maluku is one of the provinces in Indonesia which has most of the sea waters. North Maluku province consists of 395 small and large islands. The island is inhabited by as many as 64 pieces, which are not inhabited by as many as 331 fruits.
North Maluku boundaries include the Sea to the east of Halmahera, Maluku Sea to the west, the Pacific Ocean to the north, and the Seram Sea to the south. From the mining sector, North Maluku are rich in content of nickel and gold reserves. While the agricultural sector, North Maluku rely on cocoa.
In addition to the country known for its rich in spices, North Maluku was storing a number of cultural conservation and features of Islamic history. One of them is the Sultanate of Ternate mosque Sigi Lamo. Mosque is located in Kelurahan Salero, North Ternate, was built in the reign of Sultan Zainal Abidin, the 14th century. This mosque is a symbol of the triumph of the Islamic sultanate of Ternate during the Portuguese colonization.

North Maluku known as Kieraha Moluku (four group of islands / mountains), called for four Sultanate in the region: Tidore, Bacan, Jailolo, and Ternate. Literally means Moluku Kieraha mountainous group of four islands. The term is based on the existence of four empire centered in the four foot of the mountain which still exist.

Usually people in the party is accompanied by art competitions such as dances and other traditional games.

In the South Halmahera, who inhabited the tribe is: Buli, Patani, Maba, Sawai, Weda, Gne, East curse, Kayoa and Bacon. Sula Islands are in the tribe Sula, Mange, ethnicity and race Siboyo Kadai.

Papeda Pupeda or a local specialty foods north embarrassment (Ternate) is made from sago flour in hot water soak to produce papeda, supple and smooth shape.
These foods can be served with fish sauce to add pleasure. Pupeda usually served with fish-julung julung, but the fish other species may be used to mix this dish.
