Gorontalo General Information
Gorontalo province in Indonesia is known as the largest corn producer in Indonesia has an area of 12,215.44 square kilometers. This province has a height of sea level between 0 to 2400 meters with a number of small islands identified to date as many as 67 pieces.
Gorontalo province region consists of 4 districts and 1 municipality which is also the capital of the Province. Most of the Gorontalo region include mountain stretching from north to south.
Landscapes and marine areas in this province is very charming. Southern Sea is better known as the Gulf of expanse Tomini presents small islands that are uninhabited, surrounded by white sand beaches and the charm that presents underwater biodiversity.
The Gorontalo province boundaries include the east bordering the North sulawesi, bordering the west side of Central Sulawesi, north Sulawesi Sea borders, the south borders the Gulf of Tomini.
History Of Gorontalo
History records Gorontalo peninsula formed approximately 400 years ago and is one of the oldest cities in Sulawesi but Makassar, Pare, and Manado. When it Gorontalo been one of the spread of Islam in Eastern Indonesia, namely from Ternate, Bone, and Gorontalo.
Along with the spread of these religions, Gorontalo became centers of education and commerce in the region surrounding communities such as Bolaang Mongondow (Sulawesi); Buol Toli-toli; Luwuk Banggai; Donggala (Central Sulawesi) even to the Southeast Sulawesi.
Gorontalo became the center of education and commerce as a strategic location overlooking the Gulf of Tomini (southern part) and the Sulawesi Sea (northern part). According to Act No. 38 in 2001, the area defined as a province of Gorontalo, separated from North Sulawesi province.

Traditional aspects of reception is one of the forms contained in culture Gorontalo. This aspect is present in all regions of Gorontalo had always until now known as “limo dulou u io lo pohalaqa”
Population Of Gorontalo

Gorontalo Culinary
For corn-producing province in Indonesia, Gorontalo also has a unique cuisine, which is Binte Biluhuta or called Milu Flush. This cuisine is a kind of soup that tastes fresh with ingredients such as corn, fish (tuna, skipjack, mackerel) and shrimp. This dish is very unique because it has a different taste that is, sweet, sour, bitter, and spicy.
